Our long-term goal

A generation that understands reality, discovers what is possible and acts

SXLA's long-term goal follows from its mission and vision: young people who understand the real needs around them, discover what is possible and act to leave the world better than they found it.

Mission: to inspire and equip youth to achieve breakthroughs that accelerate an abundant future for all through technology.

Vision: a world where every young person has the skills, tools and opportunities to shape a stable, abundant and thriving future.

Abundance, in practical terms

Solutions and enterprises for basic needs

Our long-term ambition is for young people to build solutions and enterprises that bring clean water, food, shelter and energy to their communities. Entrepreneurship is one pathway to this, not the destination: many learners will contribute through further study, work and community life.

JEP beyond our own schools

Through the JEP Studio Hub-and-Box Model, Spectrum Secondary School becomes a hub and mobile studios visit partner schools. Partnerships start only after the 2027 review at Spectrum.

What makes JEP distinct

Same learner, same discomfort, a different result

JEP does not replace the curriculum or compete with add-ons. It connects both to the learner's own problem.

What makes JEP distinct: the same learner and the same discomfort, a family plot that grows too little food, compared under the CBC on its own, a typical add-on and the 360° JEP Studio, where the learner uses every subject to fix it.Select to enlarge

Help a learner turn discomfort into knowledge, action and value

Today's priorities are finishing the boys' dormitory, equipping the Hybrid Edge JEP Studio and completing Spectrum Secondary School.
