Privacy notice

What we collect, how we use it and how to ask us to delete it.

  • What we collect

This website has one contact form and no accounts or payments. If you use the form, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, organisation (optional), what you are interested in and your message, together with your consent to be contacted. If you email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to send, such as your name, email address or phone number and your message.

  • How we use it

We use what you send only to reply to you and to follow up on your enquiry. We do not sell it or share it for marketing.

  • How the contact form works

The contact form is processed by Netlify, the service that hosts this website. Netlify stores form submissions on our behalf and passes them to us by email at brainy@spectrumtechlabsalliance.org. Netlify's own privacy terms apply to how it runs its service.

  • Asking us to delete your details

To ask us to delete a form submission or any other details we hold about you, write to brainy@spectrumtechlabsalliance.org with "Privacy" in the subject line, or message us on WhatsApp. We will delete them from our email and from the form records.

  • Email updates

If you ask for updates, we use your email address only to send you SXLA updates. You can ask us to stop at any time by writing to brainy@spectrumtechlabsalliance.org.

  • WhatsApp

If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's own terms. We use them only to reply to you.

  • Cookies and tracking

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking tools.

  • Donating through our US-based partner

If you donate through Spectrum TechLabs Alliance (STA), the donation is completed on STA's website, under STA's own privacy terms. This website does not receive your payment details.

  • Board profiles

The profiles and photographs of our board directors on the Our people page are published with the directors' agreement, and link to their public LinkedIn profiles.

  • The law

We handle personal data in line with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019.

  • Your rights and questions

To ask what we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it, write to brainy@spectrumtechlabsalliance.org.
